First Aid/CPR/AED

The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED program helps participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. The courses in this program teach skills that participants need to know to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. This program offers a choice of first aid, CPR and AED courses to meet the various training needs of a diverse audience Blood borne Pathogens is combined with the First Aid/CPR/AED course. This course teaches participants about the spread, how to avoid exposure, and what to do if exposed to infectious material. This course helps to meet requirements of the OSHA Blood borne Pathogens Standard. After taking this course, participants should talk to their employer about their workplace’s specific policies and procedures.

OSHA 10-Hour Construction/General Industry

OSHA 10-Hour Construction/General Industry

This training program is intended to provide entry level general industry workers information about their rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint as well as how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards on a job site. The training covers a variety of general industry safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter.

OSHA 30 Hour Construction/General Industry

OSHA 30 Hour Construction/General Industry

The 30-hour General Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide a variety of training to workers with some safety responsibility. Training should emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.

Lockout/Tagout

Students will learn about the role and responsibility of the employer to develop and implement an energy control program or lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) for the protection of workers while performing servicing and maintenance activities on machines and equipment.

Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)

HACCP is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product. 

CompTIA A+/Server +

CompTIA A+ is the preferred qualifying credential for technical support and IT operational roles. A+ certified professionals identify issues and problem-solve more effectively than those without certification. In order to receive the CompTIA A+ certification, candidates must pass two exams: 220-1001 & 220-1002 Core Series. CompTIA’s Server+ exam validates foundation-level server skills and knowledge, including virtualization and storage.

Understanding OSHA's Permit-Required Confined Space Standard

​This course discusses the requirements of OSHA's permit-required confined space standard, 29 CFR 1910.146. It is designed for small employers or a designated representative (line supervisor or manager) with the responsibility to develop a permit space program, which covers OSHA's requirements.

Warehousing and Storage

The course is designed as a training course for warehouse workers and will focus on many hazards and injuries that are likely to be encountered in warehouse operations. It has been shown that warehousing has become an increasingly hazardous area to work in. OSHA has identified Warehousing as one of seven industries with a high lost time claims rate. Injuries may occur from forklifts; material handling and lifting; exposure to hazardous substances; and slips, trips and falls. The course will discuss: powered industrial trucks; material handling/lifting hazard communication; walking and working surfaces; and exit routes and fire protection.

Assessment Techniques

This course focuses on how to prepare for and conduct assessments, identifying issues, and the disposition of those issues. Classroom lecture and experiential exercises are utilized to provide students the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge and skills presented. Assessments are used to systematically gather information which is analyzed against approved criteria to identify potential issues related to compliance, performance, and effectiveness. When issues are found, decisions and corrective actions can be developed to improve performance based on the facts.

Workplace Violence

Prevention and Management​-Violence in many different forms is occurring in all work settings across the country and is a major concern for all employers and employees. This course will cover the current OSHA definitions and guidelines related to workplace violence. The focus of this course is on increasing awareness of the risks for violence as well as proactive prevention and management strategies. This is an excellent opportunity for front-line employees, safety and security personnel, and all managers, to gain skills that can help them provide a safe and secure environment for themselves, all employees, and customers/patients/clients.

Safety & Health Management Systems

The focus of this training is the implementation of an effective safety and health management system. The topics include a review of current safety and health management system concepts such as ANSI Z10, OHST 1801, and I2P2.

Hazardous Materials

This course provides an overview of OSHA's General Industry standards regarding hazardous materials as well as other proprietary and consensus standards related to hazardous materials. Subjects covered include proper storage and handling procedures; precautions for hazardous waste operations; and processes for handling flammable and combustible liquids, and compressed gases.

OSHA Guide to Industrial Hygiene

This course is intended to increase your knowledge of OSHA regulations related to industrial hygiene as well as relevant industrial hygiene practices and procedures. Specific topics such as permissible exposure limits, respiratory protection, engineering controls, hazard communication, sampling instrumentation, hearing conservation, workplace health program and other industrial hygiene issues will be addressed.

Principles of Ergonomics

This course covers the use of ergonomic principles to recognize, evaluate, and control workplace conditions that cause or contribute to musculoskeletal and nerve disorders. Course topics include work physiology, anthropometry, musculoskeletal disorders, use of video display terminals, and risk factors such as vibration, temperature, material handling, repetition, and lifting and patient transfers in health care. Course emphasis is on industrial case studies covering analysis and design of work situations and equipment workshops in manual lifting, and coverage of current OSHA compliance policies and guidelines.

Respiratory Protection

Respiratory Protection

This course covers the requirements for the establishment, maintenance, and monitoring of a respiratory protection program. Course topics include terminology, OSHA Respiratory Protection Standards, NIOSH certification, respiratory protection programs, and medical evaluation requirements. Program highlights include workshops on respirator selection, qualitative and quantitative fit testing, and the use of respiratory protection and support equipment.​

ServSafe-Manager

ServSafe is a food and beverage safety training and certificate program administered by the National Restaurant Association. The program is accredited by ANSI and the Conference for Food Protection. Sanitation certification is required by most restaurants as a basic credential for their management staff.
